Access: From Highway 138 in Pearblossom, CA, turn south on Longview Rd. Turn left on Ave. W - this becomes Valyermo Rd. Continue past Forest Service Ranger Station. Turn right on Big Rock Road and drive approximately 2 miles to campground.
Facilities: 12 sites. Restrooms, picnic tables, fire pits, drinking water. Water may be turned off in winter months and dry seasons.
Season: Open year round, subject to weather and fire closures.
Fees: Adventure Pass required. Reservations not accepted.
Nearby Hiking Trails: Try hiking in the nearby Devils Punchbowl County Park, the trail starts a couple miles south of the campground.
Nearby 4x4 Trails: Nearby is Forest Road 4N11, providing access to roads along the ridges of the northern Angeles National Forest. Call the forest service office to see if the road is currently open.
Comments: Pets permitted. The water seems to be shut off as often than it is turned on. A generally nice campground, but it is often full. Babbling Big Rock creek is just across the access road. The Forest Service says this campground is open to both tents and RVs, but I doubt you could fit any RV longer than 20 feet in here.
Managing Agency: National Forest Service. Call (661) 296-9710 for current conditions and additional information.
